August 16, 2008 pt. 2

Tonight we had a kid-less night. My mom decided to take the kids for a sleepover. It's amazing how quiet the house is when they are gone, even after what is their bedtime. The house just is more quiet when they are sleeping somewhere else.

Michael and I took advantage of them being gone. We went to Trailhead to get nachos. We love to eat there because we love their nachos. They have all the normal stuff nachos are supposed to have like cheese, tomatoes, olives, onions, etc. But, they also have black beans, jalapenos, and grilled chicken. The appetizer is enough for us to share as a meal. The kids don't really like to eat at Trailhead, so we try to only go when they are not with us anymore.

This is Festival of the Little Hills weekend, too. So, we spent the rest of the evening wandering around the booths at the festival. The only thing we bought was fudge. There were some other things we saw that we liked, but I don't think either of us was really in the mood to spend money.

There was this one t-shirt I saw that I am adopting as my new mantra. It said, "My goal in life is to be as wonderful as my dog thinks I am." Not sure I could ever live up to that, but hey, it's a good goal to have.
