You know what? I hate politics. The stupid commercials, the idiotic unattainable promises, the fact that you cannot believe a word any of them say and the phone calls. It irritates me to no end to get an automated phone call from a campaign or to have a message from one on my answering machine. I cannot stand when people call me to ask me how I'm voting. I refuse to answer this question. It's no one's business how I vote. We do not put campaign signs in our yard or allow politicians to put their stickers on our children during parades. We do not use bumper stickers or buttons or anything like that. I wish they would just give me a packet of information on their voting history and what they have accomplished for me to use in order to decide who to vote for. Do make me promises you can't or won't keep. Don't tell me what a horrible person your opponent is or the terrible things he/she has done. I will never align myself with any particular political party because there is no way I would ever completely agree with any political party. I see it all as an evil necessity but get so SICK of being bombarded with the propaganda.
