I actually feel like I got something accomplished at work today. Somehow I managed to go through my whole 50 minute planning period uninterrupted. That rarely happens. But, I managed to get a bunch of scores recorded during that time.
Then, after school, we were required to stay until 4:45, but did not have a meeting. I do not mind that at all. I actually appreciate that. I got the rest of the scores for the benchmark assessments recorded. I also got most of the papers that my students did today graded and all pencils sharpened.
I would have actually stayed longer (not a lot longer) if Michael hadn't had to be out with a customer for work tonight night. But, I had to go get the kids and on Tuesdays, they are in two different places so I really could not stay longer. I'm really wishing I had not committed to Career Ladder this year. We are supposed to start tutoring next week and I really would rather be able to use that time to get caught up and keep caught up. But, I'll make it all work.
In any case I am feeling a little bit of relief. I still need to finish grading tests that need to be recorded for quarter grades. These would have been done by now if it weren't for those benchmark assessments we were required to give. I also need to start getting papers filed so they are ready for PT conferences and get homework ready for next week.
I'm still so exhausted I cannot think by the time I get home in the evenings, though.
