May 19, 2008

It was a busy day here. Michaela had her honor choir concert this afternoon. They started with the fourth grade orchestra. There were several violins, a chello and a viola. They did really good. You could tell they had worked really hard on their music.

Then, came the entire fourth grade playing their recorders. The music teacher took time to explain what the kids have been learning all year. They also had some of the kids playing other instruments like drums and bells and such. They did really well too.

Finally, the honor choir got to do their thing. The honor choir is made up of 4th and 3rd grade students. They did great. It was so cool to see my daughter up there singing with the choir. I missed one of her cute parts because I managed to sit where the teacher was blocking my view of Michaela. But, it was all good. She was surprised I was there because I'd told her I couldn't make it. It was so cool to see her so happy and excited to see me.

Tonight was her gymnastics "performance." They had it set up like a gymnastics meet. Michaela has really come a long way in less than a year. She was so excited to show off for me. It was fun to watch. I have a lot of pictures I have to upload and mess around with.
