November 23, 2007 ~ Between New and Old Memories

It was a lazy day mostly for me. I did do laundry and go to Wal-mart for necessity shopping, but other than that I sat around until it was time to go over to my SIL's house.

Last night was incredible. We left my SIL's house a little after 5:00 pm. This was early but we had to pick up our tickets at least an hour before the show. Our tickets were free! Once we got our tickets we went across the street to Reggie's Backstage Restaurant. It was really nice. We had an appetizer and some really good fruity non-alcoholic cocktails. Michaela and Jenessa did not like the appetizer, but Kelly and I did.

Our seats were amazing. We were just a little to the left of the stage and only back about 12 rows. It was so cool to sit that close and not have to pay for them.

The musical was wonderful. They did great picking the cast. The guy that played F.D.R. was hilarious. We all enjoyed it very much. It was Michaela's first time at a live performance like that and she was in awe. When the play was over Michaela said, "That was amazing."

I feel so lucky to be able to do that with my daughter. I still remember my mom taking me and it's one of my favorite memories and hopefully now it will be one of Michaela's favorite memories, too. I know it will be for me. And, we got to share it with two people we've never really gotten to spend quality time with before, which makes it mean so much more.
